MØLT DEVELOPMENT
Discovery. Development. Placement.
Select industrial surface records are preserved within the Moltier Archive. Through MØLT Development, select records may be explored as architectural interventions, commissioned works, and site-specific applications.
Every project begins with discovery, progresses through development, and concludes with placement.
Discovery
The foundation of every project.
Records are discovered, preserved, documented, and added to the archive. Each carries a unique surface history shaped through years of industrial movement and material flow.
Only a small number are selected for further exploration.
Development
Select records are studied for architectural potential.
Through scanning, modeling, material exploration, and fabrication studies, surface records may evolve into site-specific concepts ranging from feature walls and partitions to architectural interventions and commissioned works.
Not every record is developed.
Not every development is produced.
Placement
Projects are realized through collaboration with collectors, designers, architects, institutions, and hospitality partners.
Each placement is approached individually, with consideration given to context, scale, materiality, and long-term significance.
The objective is not simply installation, but meaningful placement.
Founding Placements
A limited number of early projects may be considered as Founding Placements.
These opportunities allow Moltier to work closely with partners to explore new applications, document outcomes, and establish benchmark installations for future development.
Project Engagement
Projects typically progress through the following stages:
Discovery
Initial conversation, archive review, and assessment of project fit.
Project Development
Record selection, concept development, renderings, material studies, and budget planning.
Project Approval
Project scope, production requirements, and fabrication pathway are finalized.
Fabrication & Installation
Production, finishing, delivery, installation, and documentation.
Inquiry
Each opportunity is reviewed individually.
For architectural collaborations, hospitality projects, collector acquisitions, or site-specific developments, please submit an inquiry to begin the conversation.
